How does it work?

npower matches every unit of normal electricity that you use and feeds the same amount, generated from renewable sources, into the electricity network.

Plus, when you choose National Trust Green Energy, npower donates £15 to the National Trust Green Energy Fund, which invests in low and zero carbon initiatives at Trust sites. The Trust will also receive £15 every year thereafter as long as you remain a customer.*

This tariff is available on a variety of payment methods including Direct Debit, cash, cheque or pay as you go if you have a prepayment meter.

Terms & Conditions *At no extra cost: Based on npower’s standard tariff. Internet, capped or fixed tariff customers will be required to move to standard rates, which may be higher than your current tariff. 100% renewable energy: The electricity you receive remains the same. Usage is estimated until year end when annual consumption data is checked and we confirm the correct amount of renewable energy has been purchased. £100 monthly Direct Debit discount: After you’ve been with npower and paid by monthly Direct Debit without a break for 12 months, you’ll receive a discount off your energy bill. Stay with us and continue to pay in this way and you’ll get a £100 annual discount if you buy both electricity and gas, or £20 if you buy just one fuel. National Trust Green Energy Fund: Initial payment of £15 per fuel invested in low and zero carbon initiatives and related educational activities (inclusive of marketing and promotional costs for marketing of The National Trust Green Energy products) for customers entering into a residential contract with npower for National Trust Green Energy electricity, once supply by npower has commenced. Annual payment of £5 per fuel invested in low and zero carbon initiatives and related educational activities (inclusive of marketing and promotional costs for marketing of The National Trust Green Energy products), £10 invested in renewable technologies on National Trust properties. Payable every year a customer stays with National Trust Green Energy for the duration of the National Trust and npower alliance.
